Overview

PracandyWalls is a wallpaper app for browsing, saving, downloading and setting wallpapers on Android.

Accounts and local profile

PracandyWalls does not require an account. You may enter an optional display name, but it is stored only on your device and is not uploaded.

The app does not send your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, messages, photos, payment information, raw search text, wallpaper URLs or advertising ID to analytics.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics for Firebase is disabled until you choose Allow analytics. If allowed, PracandyWalls sends app-usage events such as category selection, wallpaper open, favorite, download, share and wallpaper-set actions. Search analytics contain only whether a search exists and a broad query-length bucket, never the search text.

Firebase may process basic app and device information, a random app-instance identifier, app lifecycle events and an approximate region derived from a masked IP address. The app disables advertising ID collection, advertising storage and ad-personalization signals. It does not set a Firebase user ID or link analytics to your local display name.

You can allow or disable analytics at any time in Profile > Privacy & Data. Reset privacy data removes the local display name, disables analytics and resets the local analytics identifier. Previously aggregated analytics follows the Google Analytics property retention settings.

• App preferences such as selected filters
• Analytics consent choice

This local data is not uploaded by PracandyWalls.

Network requests

The app uses internet access to load wallpaper lists and images from the Wallhaven public API and image CDN. Those services may receive standard network information such as your IP address and request metadata as part of normal internet delivery.

Wallpaper and gallery actions

When you save a wallpaper, PracandyWalls writes the selected image to your device gallery. On Android 9 and older, Android may ask for storage permission before saving.

When you set a wallpaper, PracandyWalls uses Android wallpaper APIs to apply the selected image to your home screen, lock screen or both.

Service providers and data sharing

PracandyWalls does not sell personal data and does not use advertising SDKs. When analytics is allowed, Google processes the disclosed analytics data to provide Firebase Analytics to the developer. Wallpaper and image requests are processed by Wallhaven and its image-delivery infrastructure. Update checks may contact the public PracandyWalls GitHub releases repository.
